Siltech Innovative Silicone for Personal Care – Introducing New Technologies for Better Performance

On 15th December 2021, the Behn Meyer Personal Care team in SEA and our partners from Siltech had jointly organised a webinar to introduce the innovation of silicones for personal care applications. 

Siltech, a frontrunner in the silicone industry, had formulated a full line of organo-functional silicone compounds and related specialties for a wide range of industrial and personal care applications, using their patented and otherwise proprietary technologies. Through this webinar, we wanted to showcase the ability of these new technologies and how their application can augment the performance of a product.

The event was very well-received, attracting 90 participants from over 50 different companies across the SEA region. This was the first time we organised a webinar in collaboration with Siltech. However, the responses received were excellent; many of our participants were impressed by the knowledge and information shared.

Ms Mai Huong, Regional Sales Manager from Behn Meyer Vietnam, opened the event with a welcome address before handing the session over to the invited guest speakers. Mr G Lizal, the Business Manager of Asia Region and Ms Julieth Rivera, a chemist from Siltech Corporation, then proceeded to share our latest Innovation Silicone ranges and highlighted their use in dedicated application and formula.

The participants were engaged and interactive throughout the event, even requesting further product information and samples. We have since followed up on a number of their requests and conducted some in-house workshops to educate them on the correct way of using these powerful ingredients.

Seeing the success of this webinar, we hope to conduct more similar events, perhaps on a bigger scale in the future.
