With the aim of strengthening the bond between its team members, the Behn Meyer Rubber Group organised a regional meeting in Phuket, Thailand recently that ran from 11 – 13 October 2017.

42 people from 10 countries attended the meeting, as well as 4 principals and 2 representatives from Behn Meyer Research & Development, making this the biggest ever Behn Meyer Rubber Regional Meeting.

On the first day of the meet, the representatives from Research & Development presented an update on Behn Meyer’s lab capabilities. They demonstrated how certain items could now be tested in-house with the new instruments to better serve the rubber industry.

Following the demonstration, the guests from Silox, CAME S.r.l. and Sin Rubtech conducted a product training session. Then when night came, the attendees enjoyed a relaxing night with a group dinner and a spectacular play at Phuket FantaSea, the Ultimate Thai Cultural Theme Park.

It was back to business on the second of the meet, as representatives from each of the 10 countries presented their business reviews for the year 2017 as well as their plans for 2018. After an afternoon of exchanging ideas and studying recent success stories, the day ending on a high note for the team as they gathered on the beachfront rooftop restaurant for a BBQ seafood dinner.

On the third and final day of the meet, the teams came together once more to discuss relevant topics and brainstorm ideas and action plans for 2018. Finally, before it all ended, an award was presented to the best success story of 2017.

On that note, the regional meeting was concluded with a farewell lunch. Here’s to the future and a productive 2018 ahead!
