The 3rd Personal Care regional Meeting took place on 12 December 2011 at Novotel Phernjit Sukhumvit hotel to discuss each country’s developments, existing and potential suppliers, future opportunities as well as to share experiences.
Eleven colleagues from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Germany attended the meeting which was followed by a delicious welcome dinner at Nara Thai cuisine.
On 13 December Mr Mohite from Lachemi, an Indian producer of natural active ingredients, provided the Personal Care Team with product training and in the afternoon the group met with Mr Celleri, Teluca, a US manufacturer of dyes to discuss potential future opportunities.
From 14-16 December Behn Meyer Personal Care Team participated at the in-cosmetics Asia 2011 exhibition at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec). The event was initially planned for 12-14 November, but was postponed due to the devastating flood in Bangkok in the last months.
It was the first time that the regional Personal Care Team had shared a booth at in-cosmetics Asia. It was really a great opportunity to exchange information with suppliers and to meet new and existing customers from the Southeast Asian region. The team shared the booth with A.M. Tood, USA, a manufacturer of specialised mint blends as well as Hayman, UK, a manufacturer of denatured ethanol.
In addition the team presented its common supplier Cosphatec, Germany, who produce alternative preservation, lecithin based coemulsifier and various multifunctional ingredients.
Furthermore the group represented its common supplier Janssen PMP, Belgium which produces antidandruff actives, with each country also promoting its own range of suppliers.
The Personal care team plans to participate at the in-cosmetics Asia again in November 2012.
