From 10 – 12 April 2018, the 2018 edition of the biennial Asia Water exhibition was held at Kuala Lumpur Exhibition Centre. The event, which welcomed over 1,000 exhibitors from 32 countries, was said to have attracted over 19,000 trade visitors.
Behn Meyer’s presence at the event comprised team members from three divisions under our Performance Chemicals business unit: Water Treatment, Process Industries and Petrochemicals. We were also joined there by our partners from Cabot Norit Singapore.
Over the course of the three-day event, Behn Meyer’s eye-catching booth attracted many visitors, including long-time customers as well as exciting new leads for potential customers. Decked out in outfits based on our signature blues and whites, the Behn Meyer team worked diligently to welcome our visitors and educate them on the various products offered through our Water Treatment, Process Industries and Petrochemicals divisions. Also featured were Cabot Norit’s activated carbon and Intra Hydrocare’s drinking system, both of which are excellent products for the filtration and purification of drinking water.
Dato' Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, the Malaysian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, went on record to say, “Water is everybody's responsibility and we are all a part of the solutions [sic]… At the international level, there is a crucial need to ensure adequate and safe water be made available to all. This effort will be driven by the concept of sustainable use of water resources, conservation and effective management of water resources supported by mechanism involving partnership with all stakeholders.”
Overall, we had a good and productive time at Asia Water 2018. We look forward to catching up with our friends and partners in the industry again sometime soon!
