Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a cause of viral disease in cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs. Recently, Indonesia is again faced with this outbreak after being clear of FMD in 1986, as stated by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). The first case of FMD in cattle was discovered in Gresik, East Java, on April 28th.
On Monday, May 23th, Indonesia’s government reported that the FMD has infected more than 20,000 livestock animals in 16 provinces. To prevent a wider impact on animal health and business economy, Indonesia’s Agriculture Ministry has released a guide on cattle mobilisation to regional administrations.

The products are produced by Intracare BV, Behn Meyer’s counterparts in the Netherlands.
