Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition celebrates new Lab center with customers
Over 80 customers of Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition and Behn Meyer Aquaculture flocked to Binh Duong on December 16th to witness the official opening of Behn Meyer’s new Research & Development facility.
Customers and guests were most interested to see Behn Meyer’s lab technicians perform enzyme assays for Behn Meyer’s key brands, Hemicell and Finase, which are benchmarks in the field of feed enzymes.

The other part of the lab facility, Behn Meyer’s Center for Applied Aqua Research, drew equally high attention. Together with their aqua feed customers, Behn Meyer Aquaculture will invite students from local universities to do research on Behn Meyer’s vast portfolio of natural feed additives for shrimp and fish.

In her Welcome Speech, Ms. Kim, General Director of Behn Meyer Vietnam praised the customers for their support and the Animal Nutrition and Aquaculture teams of Behn Meyer Vietnam for their determination to make the lab facility a reality. Prof. Le Thanh Hung of Nong Lam University thanked Behn Meyer for their long-term contribution to the aquaculture industry in Vietnam and encouraged the industry players to invest more into research-driven sustainable solutions.

It was a proud moment when Ms. Kim finally announced the lab open and guided the customers through the premises to the cornerstone of Behn Meyer Vietnam’s service philosophy, the new Research Center.

After thorough inspection of the analytical equipment and brainstorming about immediate aqua research ideas, the day ended in the luxurious setting of Thao Dien Village. Regional Director of Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition, Dr. Dirk Lorenz-Meyer revealed what the customers could expect from Behn Meyer in 2012 and beyond. His presentation was followed by Dr. Nguyen Van Dien, Department Manager Animal Nutrition and Aquaculture of Behn Meyer Vietnam, who gave updates on phytobiotic concepts in livestock and aqua nutrition. Dr. Dien’s seminar was also the introduction of Behn Meyer’s new natural feed additive range from Germany.

After the “digestarom” launch event, all the guests enjoyed the cool breeze at the river front, the sumptuous dinner and the nice company of friends from the industry.
