Following Eli Lilly’s acquisition of ChemGen Corp, a high level meeting between Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition and Elanco Animal Health was recently held in Bangkok. With all the ASEAN country heads present, more than 30 participants from Behn Meyer and Elanco defined the way forward in Southeast Asia.
Both parties agreed that Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition will continue to be the exclusive distributor of ChemGen’s innovative enzyme products in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. As a result, Behn Meyer’s customers can count on undisrupted product supply and the same high-quality service they they’ve come to expect from the Behn Meyer teams in the region.
“The two day meeting served to connect the local teams of Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition and Elanco Animal Health in Southeast Asia. We identified synergies in our market reach and opportunities to expand our relationship going forward,” said Dirk Lorenz-Meyer, regional director of Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition.
Behn Meyer Animal Nutrition is recognized as the leader in the field of enzyme technology and related services in Southeast Asia. The service portfolio stretches from feed milling and engineering solutions to laboratory services, formulation advice and genuine research capacities.
“At Behn Meyer, we combine the installation and maintenance of post-pellet liquid application technology with comprehensive enzyme assays in our own local labs and with a whole range of value adding services,” explained Dirk Lorenz-Meyer. “In combination we maximize the success of our customers’ enzyme application. Elanco is excited about our business approach and wants to leverage on our service capabilities in the region. At the same time, we look forward to combine forces with a global animal health player. Our cooperation begins at a time where animal health and animal nutrition start to converge. With Elanco’s know-how in animal health and our expertise in animal nutrition, we are confident that we will bring additional value to the clients we serve.”
