From 25 – 27 February, the Tire Technology Expo took place at the Exhibition Centre of Hanover, Germany. With more than 300 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors, the event is Europe’s most important tire manufacturing technology exhibition and conference.
This is the 3rd time that Behn Meyer Europe has represented the company at the event. Due to the previous year’s rush of customers, the team has returned with an even bigger booth this time, supported by team members from Behn Meyer Thailand to welcome each of our customers in a pleasant atmosphere.
Besides taking part as an exhibitor, Behn Meyer was also represented at the Tire Technology Expo Conference 2020 by Dr. Joachim Bertrand, who spoke during a session to present the results of his research titled, “Next Generation Modified Silica for Optimized Tire Compound Development”. The lecture received much positive feedback from the many interested participants who then later visited Behn Meyer’s booth to further discuss the topic in detail.
Although the spread of COVID-19 led to a significant decrease in the number of visitors from the previous year, it had the pleasant side effect of freeing up time, that both exhibitors and trade fair visitors could spend more time together and have quality high-level discussions.
Over the 3 days of the exhibition, our team had many interesting discussions with existing as well as new contacts, and we were able to form a holistic impression of the present situation and challenges faced by the rubber industry. The combination of our participation at the conference and having a dedicated section of the booth for in-depth discussions was a total success.
