Facilities Management Executive
Subang Jaya, Malaysia
  • Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organisation, scheduling, budgeting and implementation.
  • Plan with, direct and coordinate the entire project team (internal and external) on activities concerning the construction and maintenance of structures and facilities towards the successful completion and maintenance of the project / property.
  • Ensure that resources such as finances, manpower, materials and machinery are managed productively and effectively within the given budget.
  • Ensure the smooth progress of the project through close liaison / attendance at meetings with consultants, sub-contractors and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure that necessary progress meetings are conducted and issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s safety management system.
  • Ensure that all contract documents are in proper order.
  • Ensure compliance with standards when preparing for awards, when scheduling subcontractors and suppliers, when calling for quotations and when conducting negotiations and recommendations leading to awards.
  • Ensure the total completion and handing over of projects as well as the obtainment of relevant certifications.
  • Ensure the closing of final accounts.
  • Ensure that all operational work processes and documentations are in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations as well as the company’s requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all DOSH requirements.
  • Ensure adequate operational security measures are included in the design and layout of the project / property.
  • Provide competent and timely updates and briefings to the company’s management and provide professional advice on all property related matters.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management or any related discipline.
  • Relevant working experience at a construction company or architectural / civil engineer consultancy firm (minimum 3 years).
  • Exposure in managing multidisciplinary works within a project, including project planning, budget and cost control, as well as safety and quality systems implementation.
  • Possess a good understanding of design, detailing, building regulations, project implementation and tender processes.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills with a proven track record of completing projects within a given budget and timeframe with an acceptable quality.
  • Able to liaise effectively with consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Able to take on challenges, is results-driven and proactive with an eye for construction quality details.
  • Possess a high degree of maturity and integrity as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin or other Chinese dialects.
  • Willing to travel.
