Behn Meyer International Trading Sdn. Bhd. (BMIT) and Behn Meyer AgriCare (M) Sdn. Bhd. (BMAM) recently had the grand opening of their Johor Bahru office and warehouse facilities. The luncheon gathering was held on Thursday, 1st March 2012 at the Company’s premises which are located at No. 14A, Jalan Petaling, Kawasan Perindustrian Larkin, 80350 Johor Bahru.
The event itself was thoroughly enjoyed by approximately 180 guests, including many customers from the Johor Bahru area, various suppliers and contractors together with business associates from both companies.
The food proved to be a big hit with the guests with most of them being seen going back for seconds. Indeed, it was a truly sumptuous buffet consisting of nasi briyani, ayam masak merah, buttered prawns, satay, fried noodles and local kuih which had been prepared especially for this grand opening.
These new offices, which also house BMIT’s warehouse and paper conversion outfit, were recently purchased by BMIT as a part of their expansion plans in the country’s southern region. The relatively large warehouse has enabled the Company to improve the efficiency of its inventory management system, and so enabled them to serve their customers even better. Mr Lawrence Loh, Executive Director of BMIT, said that the consolidation of both companies under the same roof would improve efficiency for the group even further.
The office space on the first floor of the building is shared by both BMIT and BMAM, which is in line with the Behn Meyer Malaysia Group of Companies’ intention to consolidate its different offices in Johor Bahru into a single location. The modern offices are equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant and productive working environment for the staff.
