Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Chain of Custody (PEFC COC)

A BMIS Certification Audit was carried out on 29th October 2010 and approved on 24th November 2010. The certification, subject to an annual Surveillance Audit approval, is valid for a 5 year period until 23rd November 2015.

Behn Meyer Singapore Pte Ltd (BMIS) is a CSR company and we are constantly driving initiatives to make a difference to BMIS as well as our customers’ footprints. Mr Lawrence Loh, Managing Director (BMIS) explains that “Many of our clients are always looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint as they are also CSR companies. Therefore, we are continuing with our environmental initiative to increase our range of products that is in line with this environmental theme"

PEFC is an international non-profit NGO that was founded in 1999 to endorse forest certification against PEFC’s benchmark. It is now the world's largest forest certification system with 220 million hectares of PEFC certified forests - and is recognized as a prestigious and credible body to promote Sustainable Forest Management (SFM).

Further details about PEFC can be found at their website (www.pefc.org)
