Behn Meyer Europe GmbH exhibited together with Behn Meyer Polymers Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd of Malaysia, for the first time in history from 27th October to 2nd November 2010 at the K Fair 2010 in Düsseldorf with its modern designed 20sq.m booth.
Behn Meyer Europe promoted its expanded portfolio including antiblocking agents, antioxidants, coupling agents, colorants, flame retardants, impact modifier, lubricants, masterbatches, plasticiser, silanes, slip agents, UV-absorber, waxes, zinc oxides and others.
While the company delivers chemicals suitable for most industries, it also focuses on WPC, Polyamide, PVC compounding and Polyolefin applications.
Specialty lubricants based on renewable raw material for WPC applications have been developed by Performance Additives, part of the Behn Meyer Group. In addition to these lubricants, Behn Meyer Europe also serves the WPC industry with coupling agents, antioxidants, UV absorber, colour masterbatches and flame-retardants.
Besides, impact modifiers form an integrate part of Behn Meyer’s additives portfolio for the Polyamide compounding which are produced by Auserpolimeri and are complemented by specialty processing aids like Ultra-Plast XP 235, flame retardant masterbatches as well as antioxidants and stabilizers.
With regard to the PVC industry Behn Meyer Europe offers titanium dioxide, impact modifiers and specialty plasticizers for PVC compounding.
Newly introduced flame retardant masterbatches free of halogen and antimony trioxide are also part of the product portfolio and especially applicable for demanding Polyolefin applications, like PP pipes.
Behn Meyer Polymers Manufacturing from Malaysia presented its range of products namely white masterbatch (BM White), its degradable masterbatch (Eco-degradant), and CC masterbatch (CC-fil), which are used in Polyolefin packaging films application.
In addition, two products for chemical dispersions in latex gloves application were highlighted at the fair, i.e. antitack and antioxidants. All dispersions are geared for excellent dispersing characteristics within the latex matrix enabling costs saving and better process control.
The company will further develop eco-friendly products to meet customers’ requirements in its future production programme.
Behn Meyer’s booth was visited by the companies’ suppliers Mr Cardelli from Auserpolimeri, Mr Stefano Barbini from Silma, Mr Phil Wallace from Wallace FR, Mr Toyama from P-Life, Behn Meyer colleagues from Thailand as well as many customers and interested visitors.
