5 February 2010 - The International Poultry Expo (IPE) is the world's largest display of equipment, supplies and services used in production and processing of poultry, eggs, and feed manufacturing products, which was held on 27 -29 January 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia USA. More than 700 exhibiting companies from around the globe, offered products, services, and opportunities for learning and networking at this event. Seminars and workshops presented by industry experts, scientists, and top level company executives updated attendees on current and prospective industry issues. Attendees were invited to take advantage of these opportunities at no charge.
PT. Behn Meyer Kimia Indonesia took this opportunity to attend the event, and was represented by Ili Kusmidi, Sales Manager, Animal Nutrition Department. He visited the participating booth suppliers, including ChemGen Corp, Azomite Mineral Products Inc, AB Vista, Pet –Ag Inc and Ghuangzhou Wisdom Biotechnology. Exhibitors provided attendees with in-depth information on their products, services, and innovation, at the Infomart located on the exhibit hall floor. One of the topics - discover the benefits of using Azomite to improve feedmill throughput- was presented by Mr. Wes Emerson, President of Azomite Mineral Product Inc,.
The first program was the “International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF)“, shortly before the IPE, from 25 -26 January 2010. The forum was sponsored by the Southern Poultry Science Society, the Southern Conference on Avian Disease and by the US Poultry. The workshop provided some information on such industry topics as environmental management, nutrition, physiology, pathology, processing and avian diseases. The ChemGen Corp participated at this IPSF on the second day, 26 January 2010. They presented updates on using Hemicell (B-mannanase) enzyme to improve growth performance of broiler chickens feed with guar meals diets, and effects of Hemicell on uniformity of turkeys, a meta – analysis.
