The engineering business was first established as an independent entity in the year 1990 when it was formerly known as PT. Numalos Abadi. The name was later changed to PT. Behn Meyer Engineering (PT. BME) .

Behn Meyer is the Indonesian agent representing many prominent foreign engineering brands. One of the major brands it distributes in Indonesia is Flottweg AG - Germany, for which PT. BME is the sole agent for sales and after-sales services in Indonesia. Flottweg is a leading brand of decanter (centrifugal separator) manufacturers.

Since the first introduction of Flottweg decanters into the palm oil market of Indonesia in 1981, PT. BME and Flottweg have jointly sold over 220 machines to palm oil mills in Indonesia, as well as into other applications such as fishmeal, pineapple concentrate, tanneries.

In order to provide an excellent after-sales service, PT. BME owns a workshop equipped with state-of-the-art machineries. The machineries are used to service, repair and recondition Flottweg machineries.

Apart from Flottweg, PT. BME also holds agency for Pel-Tec Ripple Mill - Australia and KREBS Sand Cyclone - USA.
