15 December 2009 - From 2-3 December 2009 Performance Additives Sdn. Bhd. exhibited together with the Behn Meyer Europe team at the 3. German Wood-Plastic-Composite Congress in Cologne.
Performance Additives presented its ULTRA-PLAST™ WF additive range, which is especially designed for wood-plastic composites. The ULTRA-PLAST™ WF range consists of internal and external lubricants. The internal lubricants improve the wood/ fibre dispersion, impact resistance, and form stability while simultaneously increase output and reduce water absorption. Indeed, the external lubricants exercise a positive impact on the surface appearance and enable higher design flexibility: they avoid the thermal decomposition of the compound while reducing die pressure.
All lubricants are suitable either for extrusion or injection moulding.
Behn Meyer Europe promoted, in addition to the specialty lubricants from Performance Additives, also antioxidants, colour master batches, coupling agents, flame-retardants and UV absorber from various suppliers to serve its customers in the WPC industry.
One new principal, Auserpolimeri from Italy, came also to Germany, for some joint customer visits and represented at the booth promoting the Compoline® coupling agents for wood-plastic applications.
With over 300 participants, the congress was a big success, expressing the growth of the WPC industry especially in Germany and Europe: it was also a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship with existing as well as new customers and to learn more about the current market developments and challenges in this young industry.
