Paint & ink industries are grouped together as their manufacturing processes are very similar. The paint industry covers both architectural and industrial coatings and includes water and solvent based paints. The ink sector covers lithographic, flexure and gravure type inks; all these processes are made from very similar solvents, pigments, resins, binders and additives. Due to environmental factors, water based formulations are higher in demand than solvent type products.
